Love and Lust cocktail
Use the goodnes of rose and pomegranate to awaken the sensual and pleasure senses
Ingredients:
For the rose simple syrup
- small saucepan
- 1/2 cup spring water
- 1/2 cup rose water- food grade!
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- jar or bottle with tight-fitting lid
For the cocktail base
- champagne flute
- 1 bottle champagne
- 1 tbsp pomegranate juice, per flute of champagne
- several pomegranate seeds
Method:
To prepare the simple syrup, combine the water, rose water and sugar in a small saucepan. Stir consistenly to dissolve the sugar and simmer on low hear for 5 minutes. Let the liquid cool and strain into a jar or bottle with a tight-fitting lid. Refrigerate until you're ready to use it.
Grab a flute and pour half a glass of champage. Add about 1/2 tbsp simple syrup, adding more to taste, followed by pomegranate juice. Stir and add more champagne. Based on taste, add more rose syrup or champagne tor each desired strength and flavour. For extra touch, throw in a couple of pomegranate seeds.
