Mood Swings

The best thing you can do is to learn about your emotions, identify the underlying cause of your mood swings and seek professional help if necessary.

Mood swings can be caused by various factors, including hormonal changes, stress, lack of sleep, medication side effects, and certain mental health conditions such as bipolar disorder.

If you are experiencing mood swings, there are several things you can do to manage them:

  1. Practice self-care: Take care of your physical and emotional well-being by eating a healthy diet, getting regular exercise, and engaging in activities that you enjoy.

  2. Develop coping strategies: Learn relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing and mindfulness meditation, that can help you manage stress and regulate your emotions.

  3. Keep a mood journal: Writing down your thoughts and feelings can help you identify patterns and triggers that may contribute to your mood swings.

  4. Get support: Talk to a trusted friend or family member about your feelings, or consider seeking professional help from a mental health provider.

I've tried several herbs that are known to have calming and mood-stabilizing effects and can be useful in managing mood swings.

Ashwagandha (favorite herb)
Passionflower
Rhodiola
Lemon balm
St. John's Wort
Valerian Root
(Only for very hard times)

Important: Don't take them at the same time. Also if you currently taking medication consult with your doctor.

Remember that mood swings are a normal part of life, but if they are interfering with your daily activities or causing significant distress, it is essential to seek help from a healthcare professional.
